Waitlist privacy.

A clear account of what happens to your details when you register interest in CatchApp.

Who is responsible

CatchApp OU, Estonia, is responsible for the CatchApp waitlist. Contact us at help@catchapp.app about your information or this notice.

What we collect and why

When you join, we store your email address, your optional host or guest interest, the signup time, and a record of your consent and the wording and privacy notice presented when you joined. We use these details to manage early interest in CatchApp.

Your email is needed to join the waitlist. Your role is optional, and you can browse this website without joining.

We rely on your consent to store your waitlist details. We are not sending confirmation emails, launch notifications or product updates for now. This signup does not give permission for marketing emails or face matching.

How long we keep it

We retain each waitlist entry for 12 calendar months from its original signup time. A scheduled daily cleanup removes expired entries from the active waitlist, normally within 24 hours after expiry. If a cleanup run fails, removal may be delayed until a later successful run. Joining again does not extend the original signup’s expiry. You can also ask us to remove your entry sooner at any time by emailing help@catchapp.app.

Cloudflare D1’s current Free plan provides point-in-time recovery for up to 7 days. Restoring an earlier database state may bring back a record that had been deleted from the active database. Recovery history is separate from the active waitlist and does not change the 12-month retention period.

Website services and technical data

The CatchApp website is hosted on Render. The Inter and Outfit fonts are served from this website, so this page does not request fonts from Google. The website and API providers may process technical details such as an IP address, browser information and request information when delivering their services.

The waitlist API runs on Cloudflare Workers and stores waitlist records in Cloudflare D1 in the EU. Worker requests are handled through Cloudflare’s global network, so request processing may occur outside the EU. Our application-written diagnostic logs contain fixed event or error labels and, for the daily cleanup, a count of deleted entries; they do not contain submitted email addresses or roles. The current Cloudflare Workers Free logs retain these logs for up to 3 days. Cloudflare may separately process technical request data to provide its services. We do not use waitlist details for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw your consent and ask to leave the waitlist, access or correct your information, or request deletion by emailing help@catchapp.app. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place lawfully before it. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict processing, object, or receive your information in a portable format.

Please contact us from the address used to join, where possible, so we can handle the request safely. You can raise a concern with a data protection authority, including the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

The future event experience

CatchApp’s photo, face-matching and optional reciprocal contact-sharing features are in development for its first public release. This landing page does not collect event photos or face scans. Those features will need their own privacy information and participation choices when they become available. Joining the waitlist does not enroll you in them.
